# Manage payment methods

> Add, remove, and manage your credit cards and payment methods.

## Payment methods

Manage your payment methods in **Settings > Payment Methods**.

### Add a payment method

    Navigate to **Settings > Payment Methods**.

    Click **Add Payment Method** and enter your card details in the secure form.

    Click **Save**. The card will be added to your account and available for purchasing credits and auto-reload.

CodeCobra supports **Visa**, **Mastercard**, **American Express**, and **Discover**. Your card information is handled securely through Stripe and is never stored on CodeCobra's servers.

### Set a default payment method

Your default card is used for:

* Purchasing credits (via the "Buy Credits" button)
* Auto-reload charges (when your balance drops below the threshold)

To change your default card:

1. Go to **Settings > Billing**
2. Use the **Default card** dropdown to select a different card

### Remove a payment method

To remove a card:

1. Go to **Settings > Payment Methods**
2. Click the remove button next to the card you want to delete

<Warning>You cannot remove your last payment method if auto-reload is enabled. Disable auto-reload first, then remove the card. Alternatively, add a different card and set it as the default before removing the old one.</Warning>

## Invoices

View your complete invoice history in **Settings > Billing**. Each invoice includes:

| Field           | Description                                                   |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date**        | When the transaction occurred                                 |
| **Description** | What the charge was for (credit purchase, auto-reload, etc.)  |
| **Amount**      | The dollar amount charged                                     |
| **Status**      | Whether the payment was successful (paid), pending, or failed |

You can download invoice PDFs for your records — useful for expense reporting or accounting purposes.

## Stripe customer portal

For additional billing management (updating billing address, viewing detailed payment history, or managing subscriptions), you can access the Stripe customer portal directly from the billing settings.

## Common questions

**What happens if a payment fails?**

If a credit purchase or auto-reload charge fails, your balance won't be updated. You'll see a "failed" status on the invoice. Try again with a different card, or contact your bank to resolve the issue.

**Can I get a refund?**

**Is there a minimum purchase amount?**

Yes, the minimum credit purchase is \$1.00.
